The Power of Choice!
The Power of Choice Network is bringing care back to NoVA!
In the last few years, Virginians have faced a longer commute when seeking affordable, compassionate care from a Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC (PPMW) affiliate. PPMW wants to change that and reduce this barrier in healthcare.
Since 1937, PPMW has served patients throughout Maryland, DC, and 16 counties in Northern Virginia (NoVA).
"The Power of Choice Network,” is a groundswell of people in the NoVa region dedicated to supporting and expanding reproductive rights and health care.
The goal of the network is to support PPMW as it
1) Expands its presence and reestablishes a footprint
2) Uncovers and engages new patients, volunteers, and donors
3) Defends the right to abortion in Virginia
PPMW will return healthcare to NoVA in the form of a mobile health unit in 2023
and a healthcare center in 2024.
