Impact Gala & Awards

Our annual Impact Gala & Awards is our primary fundraiser of the year. The gala celebrates our community of Impact Makers! The awards recognize individuals/groups who are making a profound impact on the work and mission of PPMW. Gala sponsorships are available.

Abortion Access Fund

Established in 2022, this fund helps pay the cost of care, travel, lodging, and food for those who have to travel from afar to reach our doors.

We have also used this fund to support care for low-income DC residents, who are prevented from using Medicaid health insurance to cover the cost of abortion care. Thanks to this effort, in 2023 alone we were able to help more than 750 patients access abortion care.

Contraceptive Equity Fund

The Contraceptive Equity Fund was created to help those who come to PPMW for contraception receive the birth control options that work best for them and their families.  This fund ensures we have the resources to continue providing affordable reproductive care to the more than 20,000 patients who depend on us here in Metropolitan Washington, DC each year.

Education

PPMW Project (program to address period poverty)

Promotoras de Salud, SIHLE (Sisters Informing Healing Learning Empowering), AMIGAS, Health Training Institute and Birth Control Educator Kits are just a few of the programs of our education department. Contact education@ppmw.org for details. Connect with us on Instagram @ppmwdc for program announcements and special events.

Public Affairs

Ambassadors will start its next program year in January 2024 .  Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP) will resume in January. GenAction (campus organizing) will resume in January.  Legislative sessions will start as early as January 10th

The 11th Developing Leaders Program cohort will begin in early summer 2024. Connect with us on Instagram @ppmwdc for program announcements and special events.

Liberty Circle

Liberty Circle members donate between $250 and $4999 each year. These individuals account for over $1.7 million each year. Their annual commitment ensures that our doors stay open. LC Membership includes access to our private Facebook community and special events.

Cocktails for a Cause

This evening event includes an interactive cocktail hour and keynote speaker. The event is an opportunity for the legal community and young professionals to learn more about the services and work of PPMW. Sponsorships are available.

This is a spring event.

Legacy Circle

PPMW’s Legacy Circle is our planned giving society. This dedicated group of supporters have made the deepest commitment to reproductive and equitable healthcare. By making PPMW a part of their estate plans or other future planned vehicles, these donors help safeguard the future of our organization. Their legacy ensures that we continue to have the resources needed to keep reproductive rights safe and accessible in our community for generations to come. Our Legacy Circle Tea spring event is an opportunity for this special group to gather in an intimate setting, ask questions and hear from our CEO and other leaders about the state of affairs of PPMW and its programs.

Impact Maker Challenge

Our Impact Maker Challenge is the annual Peer to Peer campaign which starts the count down to the Impact Gala & Awards. The challenge is a way for everyone to share their PPMW story and invite their network to join in fundraising for health equity! The 10 highest fundraisers for the Challenge receive 2 tickets to our annual Impact Gala & Awards. The challenge kicks off in early summer each year. It is shared through an email video series that we call the Impact Maker Series.  The video series takes a closer highlights the work and impact of our three pillars. Health Services, Education, and Public Affairs. Spotlight videos feature PPMW Impact Makers.
